AVALANCHE STANDARD:

  1. Referred to as Universal Mount - Mounts to any 2” front receiver (receivers are custom fit to each vehicle, but the 2” receiver will fit into any Avalanche plow)
  2. Operated with wireless electric winch – wired remote included
  3. Comes in three sizes
    1. 82 x 19” AVAL8219: for smaller pickups/SUVs (eg, Ford Ranger, Honda Pilot)
    2. 84 x 22” AVAL8422: for midsize pickups (eg, Ford F150, Ram 1500)
    3. 88 x 26” AVAL8826: for large pickups (eg, Ford F250-350, GMC 2500-3500)
  4. Includes the following
    1. Castor wheels (easy install and removal/storage)
    2. Plow markers (mark the edge of the driveway to know where to plow)
    3. Skid shoes (provides buffer between plow bade and road)
    4. Rubber snow deflector (improves visibility - keeps snow from blowing on to windshield)
  5. Plow blade made of steel with UV-protected paint
  6. Upgrade and add ons (at extra cost, not on our site, verify pricing and availability w/ DK2 prior to quoting customer)
    1. Upgrade to wireless remote: Control box (part number WCB) and wireless remote (EWX004-CAD)
    2. LED lighting kit (LK4200LB2) includes 2 LED lights and mounting kit/hardware. Also available without mounting hardware (LK4200) but would prefer to sell as whole kit (depending on jurisdiction, required if taking plow on public roads or plowing at night)
    3. Halogen lighting kit (81488LB2) includes 2 halogen lights and mounting kit/hardware. Also available without mounting hardware (81488) but would prefer to sell as a whole kit (depending on jurisdiction, required if taking plow on public roads or plowing at night)
    4. Replacement parts may also be available. Would need to contact DK2 to confirm part numbers, pricing, and availability.

AVALANCHE ELITE

  1. All of the same specs as above, but upgrades the standard electric winch to an electric actuator
  2. Available in the same sizes
    1. 82 x 19” AVAL8219ELT
    2. 84 x 22” AVAL8422ELT
    3. 88 x 26” AVAL8826ELT

Reasons to upgrade to Elite:

  • Actuator provides smoother and more consistent movement than the electric winch and has fewer moving parts.
  • Actuator uses less amperage so it will outlast the winch.
  • Actuator a better option if the customer is back-dragging
    • Back-dragging – A common technique used in plowing driveways more than three car lengths long, back-dragging may not be practical with a winch operated, gravity-lowered plow. It involves driving forward to the starting point (usually the garage door), dropping the blade, and pulling the snow back at least the length of your vehicle plus plow (about two car lengths). Repeat the process across the full width of the driveway. Turn around and back into the area just back-dragged clear and push the snow to where the snow will be piled.

CUSTOM MOUNT PLOWS:

  1. All the same specs as standard Avalanche plow but mounts via custom mount rather than 2” receiver.
  2. Our part number for custom mount is MOUNTDK2. It is a generic part # and the customer will need to enter their vehicle details in the comment section at checkout.
  3. We can check custom mount availability online here: https://detailk2.com/snow-plows-mount-guide
  4. Comes in three sizes in both standard and Elite:
    1. Rampage:            82 X 19” RAMP8219 & RAMP8219ELT
    2. Storm:                  84 X 22” STOR8422 & STOR8422ELT
    3. Summit:               88 X 26” SUMM8826  & SUMM8826ELT

In the custom mount option, DK2 has one hydraulic plow. The hydraulic plow uses hydraulic fluid to adjust the plow, rather than an electric winch or actuator. A hydraulic plow has fewer moving parts within the lifting mechanism which allows it to adjust to the curves/bends in the road much easier and smoother. Due to the significant price increase, it’s only a good option for those who do a lot of plowing or are operating on a variety of surfaces within the same area.

  • Everest:               88 X 22” EVST9022
